Sami Souihi
Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Networks and Telecommunications (N&T) Department of Paris-Est Créteil University (formerly Paris 12 University) and a researcher at the LiSSi Laboratory in France. I earned my Master’s degree in Science from the University of Paris 6, France, in 2010, followed by a PhD from the University of Paris-Est (UPE) in 2013. In 2023, I also obtained my Habilitation to Direct Research (HDR – Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches)*.
My research focuses on adaptive mechanisms in large-scale intelligent distributed and dynamic systems, and it is structured around three main axes:
- Next-generation architectures: My work aims to propose configurable and disaggregated systems based on paradigms such as Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN). These systems are designed to be resilient and trustworthy, incorporating blockchain technology.
- Configurable and autonomous systems: These mechanisms rely on context-enhanced knowledge and Machine Learning (ML) to provide approaches that require minimal human intervention and, when necessary, can be easily configured using natural language.
- Use Cases and Applications: The final axis characterizes my research program, involving the practical and realistic application of my approaches to various use cases.
